LOL oks first I dont like the example of "you not jumping on all women as justification as to why gay men wont jump on you" because we all know that this is untrue, given the chance you would. But second, the point is homosexuality is a bit more influencal than say hair color or. its not something inherint that has no real effects socially. Gay guys act a certain way, albiet with varying degrees, but there is a reason why you enjoy friendship with gay guys, its because thier gayness infiltrates into many different aspects, dress, speach, activities, conversation etc. Something that your hair color really shouldnt have that much of an impact on. You like them because they act like a gay person. Being gay really is a big deal, I do agree that it shouldnt be as sterotyped as it is, but the sad thing is, for the most part its true...

example: Nate is one of my favorite gay guys to hang out with. the fact that he is gay has nothing to do with that. as a matter of fact you wouldn't guess that he is gay based upon the way that he acts. and the stereotype is VERY misconstrued imho. hell, Jon is less likelly to get on some dude than I am on some girl.

Well, The Herald Journal published this on Saturday. I was out of town, but a couple of my friends mentioned it to me. When I got home this morning (about 2am Monday morning) I found a note that my mom had written me to remind me of some things I need to take care of in the morning. at the end of the note she added that she appreciated what I wrote and not to take the paper (the section with the letter was sitting on the counter) because she wanted to copy it. I was quite suprised to see that. w00t.

Your mom is pretty freaking cool about the issue IMHO.
