great time at Fangoria!!

OMG - what a fabulous time I had yesterday at Fangoria! This was only my 3rd con, Moonlight Rising '03 and '04 being my other experiences, and I have to say that Creation seems to run a good convention. Very orderly and informed (other than the change in James' autograph time yesterday, and that was more because James needed to make an ( Read more... )

Thanks, Beans *hugs you back* I am still flying from the whole experience :-D Just looking at that picture, all wrapped up in his arms like that, and thinking about that sweet little "mwhah" on the cheek, makes me laugh all over again. I was also happy that I remembered to mention Madeleine Peyroux to him - she's a wonderful jazz and blues singer I have discovered this year, and I thought he would enjoy her stuff. After he had me repeat her name once more for him, I think he will remember it and check her out.

And it sounds like you and your hubby had a great time at the concerts - that's terrific. Sorry I wasn't able to be there to hear James and meet you and my other LJ buddies, but glad you had a good time. Happy 4th of July!

I've seen nothing but happy, snuggly, bouncy reports from this con--it's great that he is so happy and had so much fun with fans this time around. I hope that continues, for his sake and for ours! LOL!

I love Madeleine Peyroux. My favorite song by her is "Dance Me To The End Of Love". Good, good stuff.

Happy 4th to you, and I'm sure we'll meet at another fan event, sweetie.
*more hugs*

Hi jules,
Wonderful comments. I'm so glad you had a good time. God, he's still so pretty, isn't he? And so are you. Did you tell him you were a working musician too?

Thanks, Aamah. Yes, it was so much fun :-) He looked really well, very cute and very relaxed and playful. It was great. And thank you for the compliment - that picture turned out really nice. No, I did not tell him that I'm a working musician - didn't get the chance, and I would have felt a little funny about telling him. Didn't want to seem like I was trying to draw some more attention to me, or something like that... can't quite explain it.

It was such a great time - I'm glad I decided to go. And go look over on the Mobsters site at this page - it's another picture we took with James and my fellow mods from the Marsters' Mobsters site. What a laugh! He is such a flirt and a tease!!

Big hugs, my dear - happy 4th of July. Are you and your family having a get-together?

Oh my God! Belly button! Skin ... touching skin!
I need a minute to catch my breath.

There... better now.
Yes, the family got together at one of hubby's aunt and uncle's. Fantastic day, even with the rain. Hope your day was great too.

Look at you and James, real cosy and friendly-like! And I can only repat what he said, I haven't seen you in 3 years either, but you're looking good -- haven't changed a bit!

Thanks, sweetie! I appreciate the compliment :-) Yep, I guess being 50 agrees with me lol. It was such a nice day, and my interactions with James were a lot of fun. Looking at that picture, all wrapped up in his arms like that, still tickles me. I was not expecting that little kiss on the cheek afterwards, either! It was really sweet. Then I told him to check out Madeleine Peyroux, who I discovered this year - she's a wonderful jazz singer, with this world-weary quality to her voice and her tunes that is so poignant. Have you heard her at all?

And I'm glad to see that you are back home after the surgery - are you okay? I'm keeping you in my thoughts and hoping for a full recovery, and that this solves the problems. ((((hug)))) Take care, okay? It's so good to hear from you!

Erm...no, I haven't heard (of) Madeleine Peyroux before; I'll be sure to check her out sometime.

And I'm fine, just going a bit stir crazy. Before my surgery, I had visions of me convalescing in the sunshine, but the summer so far has been hugely disappointing; it's just rain, rain, and more rain all the time. Things aren't quite as bad as they are in the UK at the moment, but they're not much better either. Still, just getting some time off work's nice, too.

Have you heard from or been in touch with Cass lately? I worry about her.

Well, I'm glad that you're not getting the soaking they are getting in the UK - it sounds dreadful.... Hang in there, and as you said, getting the time off from work is a plus :-)

Have you heard from or been in touch with Cass lately? I worry about her.

I almost asked you that same thing in my previous post. No, I have not heard from her in some time, and that is a cause for concern. I'll try e-mailing her and see if I get anything.

Take care of yourself - big smooches and hugs. And the same to the kitties, too - are they glad to have you home again?
