And yup, I live in middle Tennessee, the exact geographical center of the state is in the town where I live. I used to live in Athens when I was in college, so I was up around Knoxville a lot, and I'm a Vols fan, so... :)
Co was telling me. That's so funny about the Vols. We were talking about the time zone thing and I told her that around Knoxville the area code spelled VOL. She thought that was funny. She thinks it's weird how the state is divided into sections.
I have a friend of a friend of friend who used to live in Athens so I know where it is. Do you ever shop in Franklin?
I go to Nashville some for school events and we hit the malls there.
Yeah, I remember when they made up that new area code. I was in college then, and I thought it was a joke at first. I remember when TN only had two area codes (Memphis metro was 901 and everywhere else was 615), and now we have...what, six? Two in each section? I've lived in TN half my life now, which is really weird since I lived so many places before that (military father).
I hate living so close to a time zone line, because I am always having to think about it (not like it's hard), and I really prefer living in EST.

I hear you're from TN, too. I'm in East Tennessee, east of Knoxville.
