hey, what does it take to get in to canada as of right now?
i know you can use your passport, OR a birth certificate,
but i don't have either.

well right now you can still get in with a voter registration or a social security card. i took both just to be safe. i don't have a passport or a birth certificate either.

i think starting in december/or january you will need a passport though. so you should go soon!

i think we're actually going through at port huron,
instead of at detroit. do you think it would still
be the same?
i'm going on monday, + i'm iiiiincreeedibly excited.
i've never been to canada before.
+ it's london; wherei 've wanted to go for a long time.

p.s. i'm really glad you + V are still together.

i wouldn't think that would be any different. just understand that they are going to ask you all sorts of questions when you are going through the process; it's just because they are doing background checks on you (i think with your soc. number or however) while they are talking to you.

make sure you have your driver's license too. and also right when you get over the border there should be a place where you can exchange your money. i wouldn't do that at the casinos because i hear they rip you off.

and when you come back, you probably already know this, but don't have anything you wouldn't want the borders people seeing in your car. they made my friend open her trunk and looked around. so i wouldn't try to bring alcohol back or anything (not that you would.)

BUT HAVE FUN. it's a riot.

p.s. thank you for that. that makes me really happy. :)
