It's been a long ol' while since I did a you tube vid.

This is an original song that I wrote the lyric to an age ago then more recently wrote the music. But still I've been sitting on it for some time.

The actual song is summat that's very close to my heart and very personal. All about the feeling of fatherhood in many ways for me.
So that's why it's ( Read more... )

You captured parenthood. Thank you. Enjoy the hand holding days while they last. And keep in mind more good things are ahead.

Wow, what a lovely song.

I'm SO with you there with the whole irritation, frustration, aggravation thing... but it is always outweighed by the fun times... and the love.

The growing-out-of-holding-hands is a tough one *sniff*. Thankfully I still have a few years left with little R needing the hands and cuddles... The D-man is too cool, being 9 and all....! Your hands will be needed for many years to come, to support and hold in other ways.

Thank you for sharing this very personal song. I hope you know you are probably the most important man in the world to at least 2 big boys.... and always will be.

I'm not sure about that!

Is it really THAT personal? Feels pretty good singing it? Don't really feel like too many secrets being given away just a sharing of feeling kind of thing?!

Anyroad, he held me hand after a fashion this morning on the walk to school - and no duck feeding, DENIED! The pond was frozen over!!

I was hoping you'd comment this.

It was a pleasure, thank you. In fact I had a look back at some of your earlier songs, and you have a great selection now. What a talent!

It was you that mentioned the song was 'very personal'... I was merely reiterating that it was. And no, you're not giving too much away, but still opening up a bit. You can put all sorts of feelings into a song that you might not ordinarily say in conversation, but in a song it just works and the message is heard loud and clear.

I'm glad you were hoping I'd comment. I was hoping you were hoping I would. Hmm?
