Jules, I think that's an amazing opportunity. Not sure of the negatives, but nervousness is natural. This sounds like the type of work you LOVE and there's a chance you can continue it and get management-type experience.

I say, because you will almost certainly enjoy it for the next year if you decide to apply, and because it's something that could open doors for you in the future, GO FOR IT. :-)
