June 9th is four days after Kat (my sis-in-law) has scheduled her second c-section! Strange timing.... if Kat was a few days later, and in NOLA, you may have worked with her.

oh no! not anytime soon. at least 2-3 more years! i am still dating jon, and it's going well. he is moving to baton rouge for graduate school next fall (if he ever applies), so i'm job searching in baton rouge. i asked about your permanency because jon and i plan on eventually settling in new orleans. (even if we broke up, i think i would return to nola)

how is everything with you and james? i was in nola over the weekend, but i was really busy with an art ed conference, i barely had time for jon and i was staying with him

I emailed Mom about your acceptance, and I didn't even notice the "intensive care" part!! I don't know if you knew, but Jimi was born two months premature, in Austin, on a business trip. Our family was really lucky Mom was in Austin with Dad because the hospital there was outstanding. Longview, Mom's hometown at the time of Jimi's birth, didn't even have a hospital back then! John was born across the TX/LA border in Shreveport.

This is what Mom said (if you can't tell, she is pretty excited for you):

"Julie once she passes the LA State Board of Nursing exams will be an RN! THat is awesome and the she will work in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is awesome. The is where they send the premature babies who need intensive care! Jimmy was sent to the one in Austin,TX."

"Julie will be an RN soon!" was Mom's subject line back to me! I wish my Mom wasn't my mother so I could appreciate her cuteness more.
