Yours truly is pissed!
I spent all Sunday quietly raging over this and now it's time to bring the rage out into the open. It's also not directed at anyone on my flist or circle. I love and respect you guys.
I am no fan of hypocrits, as I've shown in the past. But this is fandom and hypocrits are out there, not much you or I can do about it. I'm also no fan of wank, but again, this is fandom and wank is a part of it. We are all humans, we make mistakes; sometimes, we even like making fun of others. Fandom consisting mostly of women certainly contributes to that. I don't exactly like all that, but it's fandom and you have to take the bad with the good. It's tiresome at times, especially when you're here for the fun of writing and sharing the joy. I was quite lucky, I guess, of never having been subjected to much negativity in fandom. I always laid pretty low, concentrated on my enjoyment. I've moved away from people who befriended me when I got the feeling they might not exactly be the nice people they had me believe they were. Took a break when things became too rough. I usually avoid conflict.
But right now, I don't really care.
Betaing for a person and then ridiculing said person by publicly ripping apart a story of hers? And then justifying it with the "you've got no idea of the atrocities she's done" schtick aka the juvenile "but she started it" as if that would make it okay? That's so low, you'll need an excavation team if you ever want to see the daylight again. I bet your feet are sizzling already.

I forgot. You are renowned writers. You've won awards. That entitles you. We have to bow at your superiority, right?

I could say a lot more, but quite frankly I know you're never going to change, so why bother. You've been at this for too long already. You have that double-faced act down pat and probably don't remember anymore how to act like a decent human being, if you ever did. As long as you're having fun, all is right in your little world. You've proven that in many incidents over the years, always displaying yourself as the injured party and then badmouthing people behind their backs.
