Friday night we went to Chez Marc on Rt 28 in Manassas. The food was pretty good- French and very rich though. Saturday we got up and went to the Museum of the American Indian. Architecturally, it's beautiful. The exhibits are really thought provoking as well- fascinating to read all the different creation stories from different tribes. We were ( Read more... )

And haven't updated for a while. Things have been going well lately. Joshua has finally starting gaining some weight- 1.5 lbs in the past month. This year was really cool- probably b/c Joshua is old enough to start enjoying it. Christmas Eve we spend w/ Todd's Dad and family. Curling is a lot of fun. It looks so easy on tv- not a sport at all. In reality, oh my. I have sore muscles to day but wow, was it fun. Leave it to the wacky Scots to come up with a crazy game where you basically have to do half splits while balanced on a non dominant foot that is wearing a super slider thing on your shoe. I've officially been back at Cap One for a week. Just got back from a happy hour and on friday, I have a fun day. We're going curling. Knowing nothing about the sport, I'm curious to see how I do. I just learned that there are three elementary schools in Fairfax County that have a Japanese immersion program (where half of every school day is taught in Japanese), two of which are in areas we'd consider living in. They both feed to a middle school that also has a Japanese immersion program.

That could really be cool.

Listening to my son read a book to his imaginary friend. He is too damned cute.
