Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower

I've just had a weeks holiday from work and today is a Bank Holiday which is nice.   As usual the weather is rubbish and i've come to accept that whatever small amount of summer we have had, it's virtually gone now.  I may be surprised and we have an Indian summer but i doubt it.

I didn't do much last week other than procrastinate.  I've had a ( Read more... )

Your kitties are LOVE! I miss those at my parents SO much and can't get one here now, it's almost too hard to see and cuddle them when I visit.

I'm sorry about your health problems, hope things get better soon. I know how annoying not to mention painful bladder infections can be. Hope it doesn't move to your kidneys!
And cranberry juice... It's such a British thing. :) We don't even have the stuff, if you can believe it! We have cranberry vodka but not juice. ;) I used to love it mixed half by half with orange juice and with a wedge of lemon, try that!

Weather is finally nice here, heats are over and it's nice and pleasantly warm. That's why I LOVE late summer/early autumn, since all that heatwave/thunderstorm havoc of July and August is too much for me. Plus tommorrow is the day kids start school and it's my guilty pleasure to snicker at their whines I hear around and bask in the realization I don't ever have to do that again. :D

They are mad over here about cranberry juice for bladder problems! I had a kidney infection 2 years ago and I don't want another one. I do like your idea for the cranberry vodka! Now I'm sure that could work, lol. ;-)

My kitties are so precious to me and the lady across the road has a new kitten. I am so tempted but I'd better not! I know how hard it must be for you not getting to see your kitties much, but one day you will have some more when you are settled.

The weather has been so blah the last week. Just clouds and bits of sun and rain. I hate the thought of winter as I am a summer lover and I just find it hard to cope with cold weather.

Haha, you are like me about them going back to school. They have an extra week here for some reason, but at least this is their last.

Thanks for your good wishes, hon. :-)

Ahahaha! I meant the juices mixed half by half, not vodka and juice, but I see now how it came across! :D That would be one strong drink. :D Of course cranbery vodka would just add the extra buzz and hey, maybe it would disinfect the bladder! :D

A friend who's got two kitties (one actually very similar to Tilly!) has just added another to the family - because she found him lost and crying during a thunderstorm. Says 2 or 3 is not much of a difference. ;)

I'm sorry the weather is bothering you, hon. I only understood when in London what it was like to go through a 4-month-long November for a winter. Sadly, our winters have been like that too recently. If it snows, it melts immediately, and if it's below zero, it's 20 below zero so you can hardly breathe outside. Crazy! Still, I think winter may be my favourite time of the year. I heard somewhere that you like the most the season in which you were born and I'm a February girl. :)

Well i think the cranberry vodka would work just fine and discinfect me! ;-D It was my mind going in to alcohol mode again, lol.

That's the thing about cats. If one came along that badly needed a new home, I'm sure that would be a good excuse to have one. If I planned it then I'd only have myself to blame if Tilly went mad with jealousy, lol. I spend so much money on my two, It would be hard to afford another, but I never say never. ;-) If I had a big house and plenty of money I would have a house full of animals!

Last years winter was horrendous. It's a long time since I have felt so cold and had such high heating bills. It seems our winters last nearly six months now, or maybe I'm just moaning because I love the sun, lol.

I heard somewhere that you like the most the season in which you were born and I'm a February girl. :)

That could be so true and would explain why I love the summer! I was born in July! ;-)

OMG, love your babies! They're gorgeous -- and I have a special place in my heart for tuxedo cats. ;)

So sorry to hear about your troubles. If cranberry juice isn't working, definitely see your own doctor! Although, I would also make sure you're getting straight cranberry (well, with SOME sugar), because most of the stuff we drink is very sugary and might not be acidic enough.

*hugs* Let us know what happens, bb!

Tuxedo cats! I have never heard that term before! Thanks hon, I know you have some beautiful babies too. You should post some more pics as they would be way better than mine. I love my two so much and you being so talented could do me an icon! hehe

I can't work out if this cranberry juice is working or not. I think it's giving me a headache. That's a very good thought about the sugar content in it. The one I'm drinking is not the light and probably full of sugar.
I'll see how i am in the morning as to whether I go to the doctors, but I don't want to let it drag on.

Thanks sweetie, will do. *hugs back*

I went to the doctors this morning, as the pains were really bad, and she said I definitely have a bladder infection. There was blood and high white cells in the sample and she has given me 3 days of antibiotics. Apparently they can't give more than 3 days now, so if it's not better by friday I will have to ring for another prescription.

She can't believe the doctor at the hospital said there was no infection. Anyway at least I'm on the tablets now and hopefully they will start to work soon.

Thanks for your concern, hon. *hugs*

Yay, a Julie entry! I hope we won't have to wait until you've got the week off again to get another one ;)

Procrastinate is one of the best things of vacations, after all we get them to rest. I'm sorry you've had health issues though, I hope your doctor is going to give you more information tomorrow on what to do, or at least prescribe something that really makes you feel better.

It seems you'll have to take the computer to somebody to fix it, you've had these issues for a while now, haven't you? I hope they won't have it for too long. Or maybe somebody will be able to come to your house and take a lot from there?

I already told you that, but your cats are adorable. I specially love Socksy.

Yay, I thought you had missed my entry again! I only do it to keep you happy. ;-p Anyway I'm sure I did one not long ago, hehe....I must slow down!

Until about 3 years ago i never had any problem with my bladder, but now I just keep getting them. I'm sure this is the same as before and the hospital doctor got it wrong. Maybe a sample needs sending off for testing.

*Shock horror* my computer going away!!! I hope that he can fix it in my house but if it has to go I suppose I'll have to be brave. :-(

Deb, don't worry about Farmville, I can find someone else to join, honestly. It's just I need another neighbour to expand like the others. It's silly but a bit addicting, perhaps I'm a frustrated farmer, lol ( ... )

Thanks Sarah! Your cats are super cute too! :-)

Thanks also for the info about True Blood. I'll look into it as I'm totally hooked now! ;-)

BTW I was at the doctors today and they have this cat that keeps letting itself into their waiting room. It's so clever and waits for the automatic door to open when people are entering. Well apparently they put it out about 100 times a day. This morning it was sitting on one of the chairs and i thought ooooh it hasn't been chucked out yet. It is such a character...took one look at me and sensed I was a cat person. Jumped on my lap and slept for about 15 minutes til it's owner came and took it out.

It was funny because people were looking at me as if to say, 'why has she brought her cat to the surgery?' lol.
Cats can certainly sense when people like them.

cats can totally sense someone who likes them and they'd be safe with. They're so intelligent.
