A Jew was traveling the road from Jerusalem to Jericho when he was attacked by robbers, who almost beat him to death. Several people passing by saw his broken body on the roadside, but none of them would stop to help him

It's trying to make a point about Jesus: he'll only help us if we'll agree to love him and worship him forever. Har de har har:)

Jesus didn't ask people to worship him... he was just a man, trying to advocate a philosophy where all men could find a way to live together peacefully- All he preached was love thy neighbour and thy brother as thy love thyself. It wasn't he who created the entire list of DO'S and DO NOT'S.. I think it was people who came into power within the church that manipulated his words, thus perverting his name. In my opinion, he was a great man... the whole concept of organized religion is, however, the downfall of the simplest and best idea any man since has ever tried to adopt.
