Was the beginning to "The Fresh Prince of Belair" a parody of Will Smith's music video "parent's just can't understand" ? It has a very similar bass line, almost identical rythms, and many of the same images (ie Will Smith's mom in both has a white wig and overemphatically shakes her accusing finger).

there is an episode of freshprince where the grandpa comes

and so the dad get's all upset with him

and at the end of the episode the dad looks at will and says "will, sometimes parents just don't understand"

and Will Smith looks at the camera and just smirks
