What was the context which your thoughts arose in? It seemed like you were continuing a discussion or something?

Pencil icon! Thanks! I wanted to edit after the fact but I was far too tired at that point to even try hard.

Explaining the source better was one of the things I wanted to edit in after I posted the fool thing and then went, wait, too much information is missing here... Yes, I was continuing a discussion. Which I waded unto after Laiadapila posted part of it (under the heading "Wow. (OTO filter again)".

wow. that was weird. it shouldn't have parsed that closing tag... take the spaces out, and this is how the closing tag should read: < / lj - cut >

That is exactly what I was trying to do. It's nice to know I was in the right ball park. I've made it work before, but not the last couple times.
