suddenly, out of nowhere...

Yeah OK it's been awhile. I still read my flist daily, but I prefer to post on Tumblr because I can upload images straight onto it instead of filling my imageshack with crap that'll need to be deleted eventually (speaking of which, it made me do a pretty big cleanout a few weeks ago so if there are broken images, that's what happened ( Read more... )

Maybe some wide ribbon with a pattern on it, if the pattern doesn't need to match the one in the picture exactly? You could just hot glue it around the edge of whatever fabric you use for the poncho.

I think I said this on Tumblr but the post disappeared - I'll definitely go get the tickets with your card even if you can't come, so you shouldn't have to eat the cost of all the tickets. JK and I are still going regardless and we would obviously love it if you are feeling well enough to come too.

Yeah, it doesn't have to match exactly. If you look at the screenshots on the game's website you'll see that the poncho differs in its pattern, sometimes way more complex but often pretty simple. I'll have to keep my eye out for some interesting ribbon!

Yeah I deleted the post because it was kind of angry and overreacting, but that's cool if you want to borrow my card to get the tickets. Mom thinks it's a bad idea for me to try doing something strenuous like staying out late before work until I'm 100% again (heck, she doesn't even want me to go back to work until I'm 100% which I guess is fine since I did tell her I don't even care if they fire me) but I'm getting my lungs checked on Wednesday at least, and we'll go from there.

Ok... we'll make it work one way or another. I just really didn't want you to be out $30 and then us to have to buy more tickets the night of, since that's a lose lose all the way around. At least this way the worst case is you're out $10. (And yeah I know we both still owe you for ours.) And I probably won't have any objection to seeing it in theaters again, judging from ads, so I can always go with you then too.

However, I really hope your lungs are doing better enough to go. Even if you can't go to work the next day. Sitting and watching a movie is a lot less strenuous than walking around the store working.

And once you're better I'm willing to drive around with you for job applications if D can't/doesn't want to/whatever. Hopefully we can find both of you jobs that don't suck.
