Pirate Bay on trial

Well whaddya know. Seems that the government of Sweden is pressing criminal charges on the operators of The Pirate Bay. Will wonders never cease?

They've been in trial for a while... a week or two ago this story hit news. The prosecution is just going after the "making available" idea that since the pirate bay hosts links to .torrent files, it is making the illegitimate material available to those weak-willed and depraved enough to try piracy. Temptation theory I guess. You should read Slashdot.org, it's geek news that hits a ton faster than normal commercial news sites.

I used to read Wired, but it ate a highly unjustifiable amount of time at work IMO. I've been trying to stay off of news sites since I managed to quit.
