Ten years ago today my grandpa passed away. He was the only male role model I had growing up. He showed me how a real man behaves. I was his first grandchild, and I could do no wrong. Even when I got pregnant at 17, he was only mad that my mom and grammy took so long to tell him. I love him very much, I think of him and Grammy a lot.

I never had a grandfather until my first marriage. Pawpaw was a gem, and it blew my mind that he was best friends with my jackass father's first cousin. O_o That cousin was a RidgeRunner and made $$$$$. Always wore overhauls. :p

Nothing like finding you are related to your husband after you marry him. oi. we were like 5th cousins many times removed on my granny's side. Backwoods folk.

PawPaw lived to be 94 and was married for 68 years before MawMaw died.
