Yes you are more than welcome to use the friends only banner just credit vicedriven she made it and offered it to one of my communities :)

Is your layout done with a stylesheet? If it is then when you go manage you should have styles...if its not then you can't change your post comment/comments added links

If you do have a stylesheet let me know and I will tell you from there :) its kind of complicated
