That's a fact that's been out there since... at least the beginning of the summer. It's telling that you're just hearing about it now. It's proof of how loudly, brazenly, and mercilessly the Republicans create a white noise of total misinformation. The number of points in speeches and ads from McCain/Palin which verge about a millimeter away from being an outright lie is staggering. The very latest being this ad which is in fact smearing Obama for voting for a bill to teach kids to avoid sex offenders. Palin is just as fearless in her lies, i.e. "thanks but no thanks for the Bridge to Nowhere" when she supported it until it became a political pariah, to her I support Special Needs families when she slashed funding for it in Alaska. Those are just the tip of the iceberg. It seems like Obama's campaign is always trying to play catch-up cleaning up after the trail of misinformation McCain and crazy right-wingers (Obama is a muslin) which is dispiriting ( ... )

yea, the way that the republican party is misconstruing obama's vote on AGE APPROPRIATE k-12 sex ed (which means that 12th graders are in no way being taught the same thing kindergarteners are) is abysmal.

but nothing strikes me as more depressing than the fact that a completely nutso woman who has herself said she doesn't even know what the vice president does, is at the center of numerous scandals, has brought over 200 million in earmarks into alaska this year alone (despite her swearing that she has spurred "earmarks reform"), thinks that fannie mae and freddie mac were taxpayer funded, who charges taxpayers 60 dollars a night to stay in her home, and WHO DRAWS APPLAUSE BY MAKING FUN OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS.....that she is what is revitalizing this election in the republican's favor. and people are eating it right up.
