Thanks so much, Blue! I'm really glad you enjoyed the fic.
I totally dig "Foyle's War." I'm fighting valiantly against several completely bizarre Foyle/Milner bunnies that have bitten my ankles in the past few weeks. It's just not right, I tell you.
*dies* I had to indulge one of those damn bunnies after I saw the last episode. The fic that came from -that- is... *checks around* Ah yes. Right here.
Hey, sometimes the absurd plot bunnies are the most fun to write!
oh, *crap*, I came back to reread this fic and I can't believe I didn't review it the first time!
I love this fic so. Damn. Much. You have all the voices down *so* wonderfully, and you used all the great things that made the book so incredible--weaving a bunch of different stories together--to create an equally amazing fic. I absolutely *love* this fic. It's one of the few pieces of fanfic I've ever printed out to have in hard copy, and now I'm going to cuddle it forever. Thank you *so* much for writing this.
Wow, Tory, thanks so much. I loved writing this fic; it was complex & made me *think* while I wrote (which I'm not usually into, but what the hell, right? LOL). My 3 young cousins dragged me to the movie, which I enjoyed so much I bought the book, which entranced me. And, you know me: combine a brilliantly-written book with a slashy movie, & it's damned hard to resist the plot bunnies. So I decided not to resist them! Like you say, one of the most compelling things about the book is the way the storylines interact, so I worked hard to get that in here. It was also fun to mess around with the idea of what I think the Cabin D kids will be like as they get older. That was probably the best part for me. So I'm glad the fic works so well for you. Enjoy the cuddling!
Hey, thanks! And sorry it took so long to get back to you! Dumb life...
Anyhoo, I'm so glad you enjoyed the fic. I had a blast writing it, though I don't really know where it came from - one minute your 8-year-old cousin's dragging you to some kiddie flick based on some book you've never heard of; the next you own a copy of the movie and the book and are slashing the main characters. Funny how life works, innit? Hah!
Again, thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. -Julian.
Came here via hetrez's recommendation, and I have to second her feedback - this is a lovely, sweet, believable story, that just about made my day. Thank you!

Blue (who was amused to see a Foyle's War quote on your sig. good show, neh?)
