Supporting a law is supporting the right to use that law.

My wife posts a lot of pro-life articles on Facebook, and one of them used the term "pro-abortion" which naturally, upset a bunch of people who like to think that they're merely "pro-choice".

They believe that merely supporting the law is not the same thing as supporting the act. I disagree. By supporting the law that legalizes it, you support abortion. Maybe you think it's a terrible thing and you would never do it yourself. But you think other people should have that right. Which means that in your mind, for some people it's the best option, and they should do it.
How is that NOT supporting abortion?

One tried to equate it to being "pro-divorce" or "pro-suicide".

I responded with:
You, me and everyone else have all of the same rights as everyone else- that includes the little people who haven't been born yet: We all have the right to exist.
So burn a flag, call someone gay, kill yourself, own a gun- hell own forty, get married, get divorced, marry a man, marry a woman, marry a horse. These things might upset some people, but it will not harm them.
I guess that makes me pro-flag burning, pro-hate speech, pro-suicide, pro-guns, pro-divorce, pro-bestiality. You know what? I sleep easy at night, because none of those are denying another person the right to exist. Abortion does that, and I will NOT support it.

At that, the other person told me that she wasn't talking to me in the first place, but merely talking to Kelsey and I didn't have to get involved. Yeah, seriously. She was going back and forth with me until then, and suddenly when she doesn't have a response she tries to shut me out of a post I was involved in before she even showed up.

I'm not even trying to tell someone they can't be pro-abortion. I'm just tired of people saying "I don't support abortion. I support a woman's right to choose."
They're the SAME. FUCKING. THING.

If you allow her to choose, she could choose abortion. What would you do then? Say "Oh no, I didn't mean it! Don't do that!" Ugh. Own up to what you mean, or change your stance. You can't have it both ways.

pissed the fuck off, freedom of speeh unless you offend me, brain injury fee
