Life is going on as usual. I'm happy, but I really feel like life is passing by waaaaay too fast. I've been ridiculously busy lately, but that's how I like it ( Read more... )

I know, it's totally crazy. But it actually gives me a chance to meet with another teacher I might decide to study with instead of the one I had been planning on studying with (while I'm there and all), so it's a blessing in disguise.

Thanks for the good luck! =)

But so Pam, what do you wear in the winter? What kind of coat, what kind of boots/shoes? Advice very much needed.

For the audition? Hm, that's a tough one. When I did college auditions, I wore this dark brown velvet dress, which had this nice scoop collor with extra fabric, and long sleeves. It was elegant but not form fitting. And then I think I either wore plain black boots with low heals or plain black pumps with low heals. and a fake pearl necklace. But I don't know if that was considered too dressy. I hear what they want is something very conservative and elegant but not too dressy. Like something you would wear to a professional job interview: a very nice sweater with a long whool skirt, or a pants suit, or something like that ( ... )

hehe. okay wear at least two pairs of socks. waterproof boots (tims are my personal fave). a nice, warm, but not too heavy [in weight] jacket... i have a northface which works out really well! u need at least one scarf, a shirt, a longsleeve shirt, and a sweatshirt. gloves are good. oh! and long pants (sweats or jeans) w/ leggings/stocking/spandex underneath.

hope that helps! heh.

Hello there, it's Maren! Sorry we haven't talked in a while. I'm either sleepy/busy/not online. I wish you much fun with your trip!! I'm going to NYC in the end of March to visit Yaira, and I'm excited about that. Too bad we can't meet then. <3

Hey Maren! Wow it really has been a while. I had no idea you got a new LJ name. I am friending you. But yeah that's so sad! I wish you were coming at the beginning of March because then I could have made a detour and stopped by NYC too, since I'll be on the east coast anyway. But how are you doing?

Aww, schedules can majorly suck sometimes. I am doing fine, not as stressed as last term, which is nice. I adore the new pupil with which I am working. :)
