Getting old and other things...

Today's my birthday. I am now 19. I find this quite unnerving. I don't know. 18 didn't feel that old. 19 somehow feels a LOT older. I mean, it's almost 20 and the 20s are a whole different era of my life. Or will probably be. I don't know. Regardless of that, I've been having an incredible day. So many people have called me from all over the world ( Read more... )

Belated happy birthday!

And I know, when I turned 19 it was really different. Even though at 19 you can't neccessarily do anything "special" that you couldn't when you were 18.

Happy Birthday!!!! I know what you mean. Turning 19 was actually weird to me as well. It was cool to turn 15, 16, 17, 18, etc. But 19 was just...suddenly not very fun. Eh, oh well. Turning 21 made up for it, I guess.

Your journal isn't boring at ALL!!! You are one of the most interesting people I've "met" through LJ! Who voted your journal as one of the most boring? ??

Oh, and I have a question...

Say you are writing numbers in Russian. Are they the same arabic numerals? ie. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc? Or are there cyrillic numbers? For isntance, if you are born in Russia and you have a date written on your birth cirtificate, is it written in arabic numerals or something else?

They are the same arabic numerals. Only the Russian way of writing sevens is sort of the like the American 7 but it had a line through the middle of the diagonal stem of the seven. Lots of Americans do it that way too actually. But that's really the only difference and it's not even that significant as is.

Merci beaucoup!

I know, it's crazy! I feel like such a Los Angelino! (You know, I've gotta wonder though. How much time must a person have on their hands to compile such a list about every major city in the US? Hmm...)
