Dad

My Dad died.  It was weird and shocking and devastating and a million other adjectives.  It's made me incredibly nostalgic lately and I guess today I'm nostalgic for the teenage years, so here I am, old friend.  I keep thinking of the wake and how clean his fingernails were.  And they trimmed his crazy eyebrow hairs.  So weird.  It's all so weird

From Six Feet Under, a show I have never seen: "You know what I find interesting? If you lose a spouse, you're called a widow, or a widower. If you're a child and you lose your parents, then you're an orphan. But what's the word to describe a parent who loses a child? I guess that's just too fucking awful to even have a name

Also a show I have never seen, but I am currently show-less so maybe it is worth pursuing. (side note - I was going to start Shameless ...do you watch it? Anna says it may hit too close to home

Hey, sorry I'm just responding to this! I think visiting you in the burbs is a good idea. I would really like to go to that bookstore, and if they have food and drinks then let's just catch up there. I'll be in touch more efficiently sometime soon.

I haven't seen Shameless, except for a couple stray episodes here and there. The tone is all over the place, which I found both interesting and distracting. I'm personally watching Breaking Bad for the first time and am loving it. If you haven't seen it, I would humbly suggest it over Shameless.
