I have a love-hate relationship with Wikipedia. Like, I start reading an article and click on an interesting looking topic that is linked in the article, one link leads to another and I find myself reading something totally unrelated to what I initially came to Wiki for. The Love part is I end up learning things I didn't before. The Hate part is I ( Read more... )

Yeeeeeeeeeeeah, they need to spend a lot more time registering folks in swing states, not NY. That's like Obama giving a campaign speech on November 2nd in fucking West Hollywood.

Is Colin the one who is the second youngest?

AND OMG WIKIPEDIA MAKES ME START FROM ONE THING TO SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ALL THE DAMN TIME!

I just sit there and I'm like, "...wait, what was I looking up earlier?"

I'm pretty sure the whole thing is part of Osama Bin Laden's evil plan.

Speaking of that, apparently some guy is convinced that Obama is actually Osama but got plastic surgery. I would have loved to see that episode of Extreme Makeover, personally.

How was the Sarah Vowell book? I really want to read something of hers (and I know just what you mean, Wikipedia is insanity/awesomeness).

Tell your brother not to send us your poor people, we have enough as it is... :(

It's really good. I recommends it.

He says they have like 200 people tops in Canada so you guys can handle it. HE says. Not me.

Lol, funny (only 200 real people - the rest are just beavers who've somehow acquired driver's licenses). Your brother sounds like an entertaining character (that actually isn't sarcastic).

Oh he is very entertaining. Or maddening. Or both. Like, you wanna punch him in the nuts but aren't very effective with the laughing your ass off. And even if he doesn't know anything about a subject, he's EXTREMELY good at spotting inconsistencies AND twisting your words around so, like, you'll spend half an hour explaining something to him and he'll just kill you with two sentences and make you want to pull your hair.

Which is why I never call him James. I always address him as "Sociopath". Unless mom's around. Then I call him "Stupid".

I so get you on the wiki. I think everyone does that, to some extent. Or maybe it's just nerds.
