I suppose a "best and worst of 2008" post is in order, since I don't know I'll be able to post it further on. Unfortunately (for me), this has been a sort of crazy year, and I'm short on notes to read and write from.

Have you read "Everything is Illuminated"? It is a beautiful book with characters you get too attached, and it was hard for me to finish the book. There's even a movie about the book, but I see it as a different story.
