I was talking to my mom this morning, asking her if she'd deposited my tax refund checks yet, when she casually mentions that she won't be paying my rent this summer. I said, "excuse me?" She said, "Well, that was the deal with your brother, so it's also the deal with you. I'll pay your rent when you're in school, but you're not in school now

To help save money you should mooch as much as possible. Also if you are really going to try to work a second job, you should get one some place that sells food, then you can just survive on the free food you get, it worked for me (my whole family actually lived off of dairy queen for part of a summer).
