Pushing Daisies

Thank goodness for DVR.  Otherwise I would never have learned that the first of three unaired episodes of "Pushing Daisies" came on Saturday night.  After my trusty DVR found it, I looked it up and found out that they have re-edited the final episode to allow a bit of closure.  I also found out that they'll be writing a short comic book series to ( Read more... )

I had forgotten to tape it, made a mental note earlier Saturday to record it and then promptly forgot, was a little shell-shocked by the events on Primeval. Remembered around 9:30pm. d'oh! Going to try and watch it on Hulu before taping this weeks episode.

I didn't know Hulu had ABC shows? For some reason, I thought it was an NBC exclusive - or maybe that's just because I always see the commercials on NBC.

I think that while they are linked on Hulu, they actually point back to the ABC site, at least on some shows. I don't think ABC is a full-fledged partner, which is why only FOX and NBC stars are in the various commercials.

Dude, what is up with these networks cancelling our fav shows? Everyone I know loves pushing daisies. And Chuck too - I hear that the may not pick that one back up either. My DVR caught the new episode too - but I haven't watched it yet. Maybe I'll save all three to watch together after a particularly stressful day or somethng. Wait- I have a 5 mo old, all my days are stressful. ;)

Clearly, they are bastards. But Chuck was picked up. It was a late save and will be a short season - only 13 episodes. They have an option to be picked up for a "back 9" episodes but only if it does really well. And they've had to cut both cast and crew to save money. So who knows what the new season will bring?

I love "Chuck". And I loved "Pushing Daisies". It was so DIFFERENT. It looked like a candy storybook and the plot twists were like a soap opera. And Kristen sang! It bothers me so much that it wasn't allowed to (forgive the pun) bloom.

I wish you'd let me babysit, if only so you could go get a mani/pedi or something to relax. Even if I did something wrong the first time, you could tell me and I could fix it. It's hard to get a break during the first year.

Just let me know when you would like to baby sit and I'll work around that! You were fabulous last time! Ellie has been having digestive issues lately but hopefully that is clearing up.

Lanie's in school until Monday and it's fairly easy to get someone else to pick her up and watch her for a few hours. So anytime during the day/afternoon/evening between now and then is good for me. After that is fine too, but I may have to bring Lanie with me, that's all.
