Wagner day at the chow hall

I was highly amused yesterday.  I had two airmen come through my check-out line at lunch.  The first was an Airman Tristan, and about five minutes later Airman Siegfried came through with his lunch.  Made my day ( Read more... )

Have you seen the "Dirty Jobs" episode where Mike helps shoe horses? I can't find it on Youtube, but it looks like a cool job, and the ferrier he works with is funny :D

That sounds cool! I'd recommend doing some weight training in the next two years, then, to build up them mus-kles. I reckon you'll need 'em!

I did oxy-acetylene welding when I was a kid. It's fun to melt the metal and watch it glow!

Yes, I'm hoping to hit the gym before I start. My back muscles especially, but also just some general upper-body stuff. It can't hurt!

So, I manicurist for horses, eh? :D I think welding would be great fun! My mom was a ship welder during WWII.

And Sacramento is practically in my backyard... well, compared to Germany. We'll have to get together!

Usually figure that people don't post if they are busy. I follow blogs of some literary agents and the like, and it seems they post in bunches, probably when their lives settle down to a mad scramble. I normally try to post a little something every week or so. More than that and it takes away from my time for other stuff.
