Just got back from watching "The Men Who Stare at Goats". I liked it; thought it was funny and strangely touching. The Jedi references were so funny, considering the presence of Ewan McGregor. Plus, it appealed to my magic/hippie side. They had this "salute to Mother Earth" thing that I really loved. Chaz didn't like it ( Read more... )

if i were anywhere near one of my doods like that (omg she got a pic with him?!) i would be all *WALKS ON AIR FOR FUCKING DAYZZZZ* so don't ask me how she could not be happy. it makes my life just to be at concerts for bands i love, even with no hope of ever talking to them, so i can't understand it... it's sad that she can't seem to be happy.

you and i should go to cons and shit together then we could both be all wayy to loud and wayy to flaily and such. that would be so much better. for srs.

i hope you managed to have a half-way decent time anyhow...

we keep meaning to see the goat movie. mebbe it will happen..

She got a pic with him, but those douchenozzles at the con wouldn't let her have it, wanted to make her wait for the next day. Turns out, they gave her a code for it so she could download it off the compy and print it herself. Then she got the news that there are so many pics, it'll take weeks to upload. Each piece of news made her progressively more pissed. Well, I can understand, up to a point, but she was between her man and Jim, the guy who plays Bobby, the Winchesters mentor. (he's an older dood and not exactly gorgeous, but an awesome actor and a great guy, too). They slung their arms around her both ways and said "Hi." They had no time to do much else, but they touched her. She said they smelled nice. She was that close, man.

For me, it wouldn't have been so much about the picture, or its immediacy, but about the experience.

You guys must, must, must see "Goats". Hermie & Nevi will be all "Bwahahaha" over the Star Wars stuff, and all of you will feel inspired by the whole mind over matter message. :)
