so i got my roommate info for the fall. i have her name, address, and phone number. do i send a hand-written note? do i call her? what i like the best way to make a good impression? i don't want her to hate me before we even move together. hah. this is nerve-wrecking. i also have my phone number and room assignment for the fall. AHH.. so

def call her. dont send her a letter.. that'll be a little weird. just call her up and be like hey whatsup im your roommate .. etc etc etc whatever, maybe make a list of all the things u need to discuss with her before you call so you dont forget, like making decisions about who brings a TV, etc. but call on the phone, definitely.

i don't know if there's really a standard way to contact a roommate. i wish there was, because i always feel awkward about that sort of thing. anyway, last year i was lucky because my roommate called me the day we got our housing info. what i would do is wait about a week to see if they call you, and then if you don't, call her. hope this helps :)
