Weee!! It's almost time for NaNoWriMo again! For those of you not yet inducted, it's National Novel Writing Month and it takes place in November.

NaNo is a balls-to-the-wall writing frenzy that favors quantity over quality. You write a 50,000 word novella (or novel) in 30 days. I did it last year and almost kilt myself, but it was worth it.

Interesting. If I had an hour a week I might consider it. Actually, I MIGHT consider it on the weekends...

OK.

You suckered me in.

I'm a writer (mostly of poetry) who's always thought of writing a novel, so something like this obviously is appealing to me.

I've done the math. 1,666 words a day. 5 pages.

All I have to do is write 5 pages a day. Easier said than done.

But at least I have 12 days to start inventing characters, a plot, and outline it up. Then all I have to do is write, right?

Blast you for introducing this to my already busy life. Though it sounds fun. You can find me on there - username truckpoetry of course. Drop me an email sometime to let me know what's up with AI and PIMP, as well.

Cheers,
Cameron

Ran across this looking to see who on LJ is in P-ville, since I'm looking to move there soon. (From elsewhere in Philly area)

And...you're putting me to shame with the NaNoWriMo! I signed up and slacked immediately. grrr
