I just did the coolest thing! I just downloaded the new Kindle App (free) at Apple onto my iTouch, and voila then I went into my Amazon account and bought my first ebook! I got Highland Warrior by Monica McCarty, which I've been wanting to read - how cool is that? Instant gratification!
This could be dangerous...

I also understand why they ask you to put your credit card number when you register on Itunes. After that you can buy anything with only one click, without thinking.
(btw I had to give my mother's card number, somehow they didn't accept mine. They kept saying the secret code on my card was not correct *wtf*. That's why I only download free things from them.)

If you can get an iPhone instead of an iTouch, do that. We have already existing contracts with Verizon for another 2 years or so, so I didn't get the iPhone, but you can do more with it. It has internet everywhere, you don't have to be in WiFi areas, and it has a camera. But, I still love this iTouch, especially since we already had it and I basically inherited it and didn't have to go out and buy one! My husband barely used his, so he let me have it.
I worked out today and listened to A Tale of Two Cities on it. I'm realizing, Dickens probably isn't the best thing to listen to while working out. It needs too much concentration!

That is really cool. Part of me wishes my cousin would do that. He tends to buy things and then he decides he is being too materialistic and gives them to us. *lol*
I can see that though some books I find hard to read like the Dune series were much easier to deal with in audiobook formats.

Btw, you can easily find free Kindle books on amazon through junglesearch:
http://www.jungle-search.com/US/kindle.php
Set the price range from zero to zero (choose your genre) and Voila!
They change the offers from time to time, so get them while you can. :)
Edited to use my new Sony eReader icon. ;)
