I feel so good. It's amazing. My lungs are nice and clear, I'm able to walk the half mile (ok, only 0.4 miles) between the parking lot and work and I don't get out of breath taking a shower. So why is my lung function still in the 30's? Gah ( Read more... )

I can relate. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but my ex-husband was in the Marines. Boot camp sucked. And the Marines are even worse during boot camp, as they don't allow any contact other than letters for the entire duration, which is close to three months, then it's followed by a short break, then back for MOS training.

What ended up happening for me, is, I got used to it- it doesn't stop hurting, but the military wives and girlfriends usually end up getting more adept at distancing themselves from the pain. You just do what you have to do, and wait for the next letter, phone call, etc. It's tough, but in good relationships, it's worth it.
