OK, I really want to give this blogging thing a try this time. I made a lame attempt once before and only did one entry before giving up. Part of the reason I gave up last time was that I didn't know how to "friend" and so I felt like I was shouting out into the wilderness. Yea!Now, I'm just trying to figure out the background and stuff. I like the one you use but it doesn't look like I can change the background color from that khaki color (which I like, but I'm trying not to copy you) to anything else, even though it appears there are color choices. Also, why do they let you download up to 15 pictures if there's only one place you can display a picture? Or am I missing some page or something where you can put other pictures? I also see that people can put pictures in their posts, like the RULES cover. How do you do that? I know you're busy--don't bother answering if it's a pain. I will eventually figure it out or you can show me next time we meet. Thanks for your help.

To put pictures IN a post, you have to have them on a website somewhere, either your own or like Photobucket.

Actually, you have the ad kind of account, so I don't know if you can upload them directly.

Anyway, when you're making your post, there's a little icon above the upper left corner of the box. Click that and follow the directions.

Don't worry about the physical look. Once you get more comfortable, you will see the control tools on the menus to play with the settings. There are ways of uploading photos when you send an orginal post. It depends if you use the LJ method of posting or a program that helps make posting easier. (I have LOCH JOURNAL but I rarely use it because it's just as easy for me to post right here on LJ.) Those photos go into your message response box. There are userpics you can use depending on your mood. Those pictures can be changed by the little check-off box (PICTURE TO USE) at the top of the response box. One user pic will be your DEFAULT and that will show up unless you select one of the other userpics you've uploaded to your account. I am making it sound harder than it is. It's not. Swear. {}
