Today has been spent stressing about money stuffs.

Soo my assistantship pays my tuition (with a limit of 9 hours I think) and then I have to pay student fees.

Last semester I think I owed about $2,000 or $2500 in student fees. Not great, but I could handle it (I put it on my credit card and have paid over half of it off).

Honestly, if you're in the Ph.D program already, the classes on your transcript don't matter unless you need them for the program. If you can audit the class, it doesn't make too much sense to pay $3000 you don't really have. Don't feel bad; it's not really quitting, it's accepting financial reality.

Also, cheese and rice? HILARIOUS!

Well, I'm not in the PhD program. And I'm not sure if I'll be doing it here or not, so it does matter a bit, but I just can't afford it, so meh.

And I think when you audit you have to pay for the class still?? So I'm just sitting in on it. I do have to prove proficiency in a language for my degree, but I can't quite remember what that means...I think if I take the third semester, it fulfills it (I think). So maybe if in the fall I'm not taking three grad level classes I can afford to take that class.
