To you moms of non-sleeping kids

You know who you are! You are my heros. I don't know how you have done it night after night. We had another bad night with S last night - damn cold has her choking and gagging and she only sleeps on her back - she was up every 15-30 minutes until after 1:00 when she finally slept for 2.5 hours. Luckily after that she slept until after 8:00 and ( Read more... )

LOL. Truthfully, I find it harder to function on the days I stay home than on the days I go to work. Dealing with a spirited three year old is so much more difficult than dealing with dumb adults :). And I don't drink caffeine....

((hugs)) I *know* it's really, really hard. DS was like this for what, three weeks (with the cough I mean). Ped gave us samples of Viravan and it worked *miracles*!! Ask your ped about it...DS is totally cough-free at night now, and coughing much less during the day. Still not sleeping much but hey, what's new?? LOL.

Well, I am at work on less than 3 hours sleep - not in a row. This sucks. S isn't coughing too much at night. So it isn't coughing that is waking her up. It's congestion or somthing. At 3:00 this morning, I handed her to DH (who was alrady sleeping on the couch after I told him he was being "fucking useless") and told him I needed to get some sleep before coming to work. When I got up this morning, they were asleep on the couch together. S and E are at DC today and DH is at home doing yardwork.

Hopefully tonight will be better.

((hugs)) I can **so** understand everything you have said...from dh being fucking useless to just feeling absolutely helpless. When DS was having that *really* bad stretch for no apparent reason - I was getting about 1-2 hours per night for about 6 weeks - it felt like living hell. Absolute hell. And you totally do not think another human being on earth can ever understand just how hard it is to merely put one foot in front of the other...but we do.

I hope tonight is better for you. You will certainly be in my thoughts....

Hope you get some good sleep soon. You have my sympathy. Tell DH he'd better take a nap today and be ready to help you get a good night's sleep tonight.

Hang in there!
