How to rip people off 101

To me, there is nothing wrong with using a CMS when designing your own website or "blog" - why learn html/css when you can just use a program that makes the code for you?

But heres what pisses me off (along the same lines as a web design agency using templates without letting the client know AND charging the same price as a unique design). I found a

I agree with what you've said about SEO being a rip off when all your getting is a PPC program. However SEO is real and done properly (really sitting down and doing unique marketing for a site) can put you in the top of the organic SERPs (Search Engine Results Page's) And we all know if you want to sell more blue widgets you need to be on page 1 of Google (and NO I don't mean w/ a PPC ad)

I find that companies who offer SEO bundle it with PPC (stupid) - doing this doesn't show where your site increase is coming from. Therefore, a company could be wasting tons of money. The cost for SEO is extravagant and I think boils down to lazy content from the get-go of the website construction - which is really lame.
