I have two kittens!

Well, sort of. Three nights ago, before going to see HP, Nicole, Adam, and I went to eat at Hyde Park Bar & Grill. As I was getting out of my car, I saw a teeny tiny calico kitten wandering in the parking lot. The kitten looked so sad and hungry, and so forlorn. It was literally licking the pavement in a desperate search for food. I felt terrible! Just terrible! But what could I do? I didn't have any food. Still, the kitten lingered on my mind, so after dinner I went back to check on it. It was still there, only this time it had been joined by an equally hungry and forlorn-looking little black kitten, which made me feel even worse. So, after the movie, I got some food and fed them. But that wasn't enough. They were so small and hungry, and clearly had no mother cat to look after them. Plus, they were living in bushes on the access road of Ben White, hardly a safe place. Think of all the traffic!

Soooo I went back tonight and captured them in a have-a-heart trap. Currently, they are hiding in my parents' garage. It remains to be seen if they can adapt to life as house cats (usually feral and semi-feral cats can't), but I feel like I have to try. Otherwise I will just feel like a horrible person every time I'm in that parking lot, which will be awful, since it's the Borders' friggin parking lot. :\ So hopefully the kitties start feeling safer and let me hold them and love them and move them into my new apartment. Yes.

Really, though, all you need to know is that they are cute and little and possibly mine. Which means I need names! I'd prefer two names that go together, something like Salt and Pepper, but not so obvious. Maybe something like Frick and Frack, because I like alliteration, but less stupid-sounding.

Current ideas include:

*Benny and Brodie
*Romeo and Juliet
*Caesar and Cleo
*Thor and Loki

I'm leaning to that last one, but I'm open to other ideas. If you have any clever suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!
