Has she always been that way, or is the behavior relatively recent?
And sometimes certain cats just won't bond with the humans that adopt them. It's a dicey business. That's why most rescue groups will let you bring an animal back within two or so weeks no questions asked. If there's going to be a problem, it will usually be apparent in that time.
A lot of her behavior has been going on for years. She's an extremely agrressive cat around other animals, doesn't like to be picked up, and extremely vocal to the point of high-irritation.
She also will eat any plant she comes into contact with.
Her more recent behaviors of pooping outside her litter box have been going on for a couple of months now, and I'm at a loss as to how to fix it.
I think we bonded properly after Dave and I first got her, but after our first move, her personality changed drastically, so I don't think she ever trusted us after that. I don't know why, but that's my guess.
It is a sad ordeal to have to get rid of a pet, yet sometimes necessary. I had to get rid of a cat once....he just wouldn't stop peeing in my laundry basket!!!!! So....I found him a home where he could run around, be happy, and pee outside!!!
I took her to the vet not too long after this whole thing started, and they said there was nothing wrong with her. Nothing has changed at all since when she was being a good kitty and pooping where she's supposed to.
I don't think mine's any particular fan of me. David (my ex husband) wasn't always the nicest, and I haven't always been either. I haven't been mean, but she hates the squirt bottle I keep on the counter. :D
So yeah. I think she does a lot of things to spite me.

She's extremely agrressive towards other animals (especially at the vet, but I mean, who wouldn't be).
She's been wanting to go outside more, but I haven't been letting her because I'm in downtown...and outdoor cats are easily hit by cars.
I think she's be much happier if she was off in some country property, where she could roam free without the threat of cars.
