Bought a spinning wheel...

The price was just amazing, Louet S-10 (which I have been using for the last month), three bobbins, integrated lazy kate, skein winder, and carders. The guy has 100% feedback with over 500 purchases so I feel really good about this, even with Mercury retrograde. I have to give back the wheel I have been using on Friday when the class ends, so ( Read more... )

Y'know? I actually like imperfect yarn better. The more perfect it is, the more it looks machine-spun to me. I love stuff made from yarn full of nubbly bits and thick spots and slubs. :-)

It was on E-bay, we really have to seriously squeeze the budget to get it, but I really love this wheel I am currently working on (my teacher's wheel), and its 30 years old. The newer models are basically constructed exactly the same way. Check out E-bay, the seller is catchme8161, there is another Louet for $209.00, shipping is $75.00, a serious bargin IMO
