First Childbirth Class

We went to our first birth class this evening, taught by the student midwife at our birthing center. The class actually started last week, but we missed it due to miscommunication about the first class. Anyway, tonight focused primarily on the phases of labor, and positions to move baby down, and ways for Dad to support us during labor. We ( Read more... )

Good to know about the sharp stabby pains. I saw my OB last week, and had no change to my cervix at all. No dilation or anything. However, I've started feeling a lot of pressure and some sharp pain down there in the last few days (though not enough for me to feel concerned), so maybe there's been some progress now!

Yay! Glad you're liking it, I loved mine, but we only had two classes, but they were like all day classes on sundays.

I'm that 38-weeker contracting in the birthing class in my town, lol!

LOL. I had a couple of BH during the class, but nothing even close to painful. Just mildly irritating.
