Nursery Time!

At long last, on Monday we finally got all of our baby furniture delivered. Then came the arduous task of putting it all together, but Jonno and I make a good team - if a fairly achy one that curses a lot at the furniture maker and complains a lot about being old and uncomfortably pregnant. Yesterday we put the final touches on the nursery and ( Read more... )

Very cute! We're actually planning on doing the same thing with our crib bumpers. They came in our bedding set, and I hate the idea of just throwing them away. Might as well use them for decor in some other way!

That was my thought as well; no point in wasting the bedding if it can be put to good use in another way!

Very cute! I love using the bumpers as soft wall decor.

Thanks! It seemed silly to just throw them away.

I think it's really cute! My friend (who is due a few days before me but is having a repeat c-section on the 15th) did her nursery with her first son in the original pooh. But it was really hard to find stuff. My grandmother actually had to go to several different fabric stores to find pieces to make her baby a quilt. I love the elusive jungle sheep. Hehe

We're not a good team, we're a great team. And we'll get to be even better when we add the new teammate, and you can show the the world what an awesome mom looks like.

It looks fantastic! ~8D And the whole using the bumpers on the wall thing is brilliant, nevermind that it looks great!

I love the classic pooh stuff. I have an original printing of all the Pooh stories I bought in my twenties (yep, totally freaked the boyfriend at the time). I almost gave it to a couple nieces over the years, but am really glad I'll have it for Peanut to enjoy now.

Totally get the pinksplosion worries. We're 95% sure we're having a girl, but Peanut's ALWAYS crossing her legs, even in our ultrasound last week! So there's a possibility of boy bits still. Either way, we want Peanut to make those choices when she's older as well. Earth tones will haunt the room (kind of like yours) but still a few people have already gotten silly with uber-girly shtuff. Ah well...

Also? LOVE the sheep (and the story to go with it! ~8) I have one of those on my registry and am really hoping someone gets us one. We're doing an enchanted forest theme, so animals and whimsy shall be a huge aspect of things!
