Lupin made me cry because, like you, I loved him from the beginning. I was okay sharing him with Tonks, but for god's sake they just had a baby! :( poor baby Teddy.
And I'm with you on the Snape/Lily angle - I called it years ago, I think while I was reading HBP, and said that Harry was probably the more painful to look at for him because he looked like James's copy except for the eyes, which was just a slap in the face that his archnemesis stole his girl.

Oh, I was never so fond of Neville. I mean I liked him because he’s, well, Neville, but he never really stood out for me until this book. *Points to icon*
My brother reliably informs me through his network of public school friends that Matthew Lewis, who plays him is actually very un-Nevilleish in real life. Apparently he’s very well built, and rather popular which I find sort of funny.
Yeah I decided this when I read the half blood prince too. My theories on all the reasons why Snape had most definitely been in love with lily could had filled a large essay, and while everyone in internet land seems to have jumped to the same conclusion everyone else I know just looked at me weirdly whenever I mentioned it, so I am understandable smug.
