My first/last encounter with the ugli fruit was unsatisfying, but your description of the fruit is spot on. Although, I would have thrown in a bit about its case of gigantism... the ones I ate were HUGE (and expensive, who has like 80 of them?!).

After reading the wonderful story, I had to google what an ugli fruit was. Never heard of it before, and well, you story matches the pictures I found on google. I dunno if I could try something as mysterious as that. Especially when it is "Ugli". Since we're on wierd fruits and stuff, have you heard of a "Grapple"? Oh yes, an apple and a grape met at that same bar. I haven't tried a grapple, but want to. :-)
