worst way to ask somebody for money ever.

i was on my way to the bus this morning and a guy stopped me on the street.

"hey man, i was trying to go to this detox place for my court-ordered treatment and it was closed. can i have $2 for the el?"

At least it isn't the other way around. Usually when i'm sitting at a bus stop people offer me money. It's pretty sad when people think you're homeless and or on drugs when you aren't.
