I think that makes a lot of sense, actually. Because of routine, after a while, all this weird stuff became normal. Ish. You just don't realize how fast time flies!

No, you don't. At home you go day by day and don't really think about it, but here, well, you get so swept up in everything. You're always aware of the time, getting used to it but still now and again thinking how long it's been since you were at home.

But...I guess some memories do make you think of what you left behind.

Maybe because you already know that you'll return to your life exactly as you left it. It's different when you are swept away into another world and the time is ticking against you; when life doesn't stop for you to live a wonderful or horrible adventure.

I guess so, it all depends on how you look at it, but I guess things could have turned out a lot worse as far as different dimensions go.
