Being on break is nice and all, but I just don't have the same liberties that I have when I'm in school. I wish my mom would learn to accept the fact that I'm at that point in life where she has to let me go. She has to let me make my own decisions and let me choose how I want to spend my time. She also just has to trust that I know what is best

We minorities have it rough. I dont know you or your mom well enough to suggest anything, but I can tell you what worked for me: I kept sneaking out (which of course created a lot of fights and yelling) until she said fine, just tell me who youre with and where you are, at least. It caused a lot of conflict, but it was conflict I felt was necessary. She also asked for their cell phones and the home phone numbers so she could contact their parents, but luckily she never used those.
