you know how they say that the world is "modern"? I dont really think it is. a lot of stuff is still the same with war and resources. all thats new is that we have new shinier technology. politics try to happen so much faster which just causes overreaction to everything. plus our government is becoming so corrupt. america tries to police the world ( Read more... )

the world can be viewed as modern in the sense that it is becoming one-dimensional

it applies to arts, society and all others

andy warhol and miller are modernists among others between the fifties to the nineties

...and post-modern could be kind of like post-nuclear war...society all goes downhill from there. On the other hand, maybe it'll develop itself in a good way, too.
