I read the last volume of Death Note.
So Light dies because Mikami is an idiot and can't follow orders. And it wasn't even a complicated order, either! It was "don't do anything kthnx". Also, apparently, Near is psychic.
FUCKING WEAK.
I call shenanigans. That last story arc just reeks of the author saying, "I want to end this now and don't really care if it makes any sense or not. Suck it."
