I want to write again. But, for the last few weeks I've struggled with producing anything for reasons I'm not entirely sure of. So it's my hope that I will gain some modicum of my ability back by purging this journal (in a sense, at least!) and by giving it new life with some exercises. I got this one in particular from a source I'm not pleased to ( Read more... )

YAY! An update! anonymous September 25 2009, 02:27:30 UTC
First of all, I think it's a great idea and I absolutely LOVE Fall. I've had Falls on the east coast, northern Japan, TX (both west and east), and the west coast. I'd have to say by far my favorite would be Japan! :)

Second of all, I remember how weird it was for me to graduate undergrad and then not have school anymore. Of course, you're actually planning on going back and I'm just tentatively making plans to get a Masters in either Theater or Writing (or maybe both), so it's a bit different, but whateva!

Third of all, if I would have told myself way back when that I would have found the love of my life, that I'd be back on the east coast, and I'd be a 2 time winner of international poetry contests who was just now rediscovering his life after keeping secrets and being depressed for almost 12 yrs.... yeah. =O It's crazy how time can completely change things and the way God can just turn things around (for the better, I might add ♥).

LOVE YOU! Loved the update.

HAHAHA. Why gloss over the source? What's wrong with it? XD

FALL

Fall in Portland or Beaverton is absolutely nothing compared to Kyoto. OHEMGEE talk about a gorgeous autumn.

OCTOBER

I like October. Better than July through September, by a landslide.

HALLOWEEN

Halloween meant costumes and being out late with friends to me. XD It also meant harvest rituals and celebration of nature and a questioning of life and death. I never cared about the candy. XD I was also a weird kid.

What happened with the douchey Frankenstein teen?

SCHOOL

You're not going to Georgetown until NEXT fall? Really??? I totally thought you were going this year! Huh. Well, enjoy the reprieve from classwork!

When I was a kid, I thought I'd go to an Ivy League school and move to another state. I would have been about 20% more likely to kill myself in middle or high school if I knew I'd still be stuck here doing nothing and feeling bored and stuck. XD

FIREPLACESWow, we never use our fireplace unless it's absolutely freezing out. I always loved when it would ( ... )

It was my ex.

Ughhh I wanna go to Kyoto soooooo badly. SOMEDAY!!!

We were weird kids, but in different ways. I was the one playing with the Halloween decorations and making them all magical and stuff. xD The douchey Frankenstein kid...God. I had been out of the house all of five minutes when this thirteen or fourteen year old in a Frankenstein outfit comes out scares the living fuck out of me. I ran back into my house and cried while hiding under the kitchen table. It was horrible.

And yesss no Georgetown until next fall. I'm enjoying it, honestly, not having to be like OMG IS THERE A PAPER DUE??? That always made me sick.

You should gtfo of Oregon. MOVE HERE IT'LL BE MAGICAL!

There's nothing really wrong with a fib of a memory as long as it makes you feel all right. Coming home to a warm fireplace when it's snowing is A+. I remember a few days like that...though they were few and far in between.
